1st Grade Program Information

Cost to Participating Schools:  $10.00 per student. Horse Tales Literacy Project matches this amount by more than $10.00 per student to make the program possible.  [If you are located outside the lower 48 United States, please contact us for the cost per student in your location.]

The per-student cost includes:

• Two books (Little Black, A Pony and Little Black Goes to the Circus by Walter Farley) for each student’s personal library.  We cannot guarantee either hardcover or softcover. 
• A parent letter.
• An extensive standards-aligned curriculum.
• A teacher guide with resources.
• Extensive resources on the HTLP website for both teachers and students.
• Teacher access to the password protected Program Resources area of the HTLP website.
• Live interactive experience with horses - the character(s) from the books in the program. [Transportation costs, where applicable, are not included.]
